STAR WARS AFICIONADO- DOUBLE ISSUE 8/9- SUMMER 2005
Previously only available as a quickly sold out limited printed edition back in the summer of 2005, STAR WARS AFICIONADO has now made the 64 page double issue 8/9 available as a back issue PDF for the first time. This was one of our most popular issues, with feature articles celebrating all six films of the celebrated and classic film series, packed with nearly four hundred colour and black and white photos, and we’re thrilled to be able to make it available again.
Inside the double issue:
INTO THE FIRE- REVENGE OF THE SITH: Scott Weller’s exhaustive nine page review of the final film of the Prequel trilogy. Did it deliver the good? This feature is packed with nearly 100 photos
REVENGE OF THE EDIT: An equally exhaustive eight page visual look at all the most well known, and perhaps not so well known, cut scenes from EPISODE III.
THE TRUTH ABOUT CELEBRATION III: Scott Weller and Ian Trussler give the full rundown on the hugely US event from 2005.
A DAY LONG REMEMBERED: Ian Trussler recalls the amazing STAR WARS CELEBRATION DAY in London's West End, showcasing all six STAR WARS films shown together for the first time. A spectacular event, in a feature packed with terrific photos.
BLASTING BACK: THE RETURN OF STAR WARS: Scott Weller’s nostalgic retro-feature on 1980’s imminent first STAR WARS Sequel: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.
TO HOTH AND BACK: Ian Trussler travels to the far reaches of Hoth's real life alter ego-Finse, Norway-and finds out more about EMPIRE's 1979 filming there.
THE ALTERNATIVE FACTOR- RETURN OF THE JEDI: Scott Weller looks back at what could have been from the original story for the 1980 version of REVENGE OF THE JEDI, when it was first conceived by George Lucas and Gary Kurtz (please note a 2008 revised feature of this also appeared in STAR WARS AFICIONADO issue fourteen).
ALL THE COLOURS OF..:Ken Blackmore’s nostalgic look at lightsabers in this fun feature.
TUGGIT-BOUNTY HUNTER: An equally fun Bounty Hunter short story set during THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK by Ken Blackmore.
THE AFICIONADO INTERVIEW- NALINI KRISHAN: Scott Weller’s original 2005 interview with lovely actress Nalini Krishan, who played Jedi Knight Barriss Offee in STAR WARS EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES (please note, a revised 2008 version of this interview can be found on this website).
