| INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL-THE I CAN READ SERIES: MEET INDIANA JONES AND MUTT
Released by HARPER COLLINS
The I CAN READ titles are very visual affairs, nicely illustrated with well re-produced photos on neatly designed pages, and introduce the characters of Indy and Mutt to anyone that hasn’t previously been aware of them. The Indy one also talks about the previous three adventures he has been involved in. appealing to a young readership who are starting to read alone.

INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK-JUNIOR NOVELIZATION
Adapted by Ryder Windham
Released by HARPER COLLINS
This new adaptation version is more of a visual transcription of the classic 1980 movie rather than an adaptation or young reader edition of the original CAMPBELL BLACK novel, which had subtle differences to characters and scenes to the filmed version at the time.
RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK is still the best film, and this young readers adaptation compliments it well- a perfect visual description transcript of the film-and an excellent introduction to the character to young readers with it’s thrill a minute escapades and cliffhanger moments.

| INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM-JUNIOR NOVELIZATION
Adapted by Suzanne Weyn
Released by HARPER COLLINS
Considering its dark nature and scary moments, which got the movie into trouble with audiences and censors on original releases in 1984, the film translates well as an adventure book (though shorter than the other books in the series), and proves thrilling as a young person’s read.

| INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE-JUNIOR NOVELIZATION

This zestful finale to the original saga is given an equally zestful fast paced adaptation by Windham. A perfect read for younger people. Have the adventure of a lifetime keeping up with the Jones’es

| INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL-JUNIOR NOVELIZATION
Adapted by James Luceno
Released by HARPER COLLINS
James Lucenos’ fast paced writing and quick characterization perfectly suits this final (so far) adventure for Indy and his new “family”. And, unlike the adult adaptation of this movie, there is a nice photo section for you to enjoy as well.
All four books come with nice covers and it’s nice to have a collection, from a nerd point of view, that has a nice all tied in visual aesthetic, with all the logos, spines and book sizes the same.

| INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL-THE STORYBOOK
Released by HARPER COLLINS
As with the previous INDY films and all six STAR WARS films, the movie storybook released simultaneously with their releases are always quickly snapped up by fans of the saga. This one may not be as sophisticatedly written as early books from the late seventies/early eighties, and it appeals more to a younger readership, but it is still an important addition to any INDY fans collection, and boasts 40 great stills from the movie. There’s also a chance to check whether there are any deleted scenes/ dialogue that didn’t make the final cut (as happened with the LAST CRUSADE storybook).
